Baines V.S. 38 (Flying Gate) built in Bradford, Yorkshire, bought new by well known bike collector Mucky George
in 1947. It is the top model having finer seat stays and fancier lugs. It was used by George until 1999 when it was purchased
and restored by Peter McLeod. During its life it has been painted 5 times - purple then black, then blue then handpainted
green until its current paintwork by Cleveland bike spray of Thornaby, Cleveland England. It has large flange Harden hubs,
Conloy rims and an extremely rare Phosfor bronze stem correct for the period. Brakes are Alp/CLB and are also period correct.
